When can I take the DMCP Exam?
In person exams are offered prior to the ADMEI Annual Conference, in the United States in the summer and often once in Europe in either the fall or spring. Check the DMCP Schedule to see deadlines and locations for upcoming exams.
What is it going to cost?
The Application Fee is $200 for individuals who work for an ADMEI member company. If you do not work for a DMC that belongs to ADMEI, the fee is $300.
The Exam Fee for the paper exam is $400 for individuals who work for an ADMEI member company. If you do not work for a DMC that belongs to ADMEI, the fee is $500.
For the computer based exam which is offered twice a year for two weeks, the cost is $550 for individuals who work for an ADMEI member company. If you do not work for a DMC that belongs to ADMEI, the fee is $650.
What happens if I can't take the exam immediately after completing my application?
You have two years after having your application accepted to take the DMCP exam.

How do I study for the exam?
Exam content is based on Best Practices in Destination Management, which can be purchased here.
How long do I have to take the exam?
If English is your first language, you have two (2) hours to complete the exam. If English is your second language, you will be provided with an additional 40 minutes.
What happens if I don't pass the exam the first time?
You can register to take it again within the two year eligibility period. There is a retesting fee of $200 each time you take the exam.
OK! I passed! Now what?
You are now entitled to use "DMCP" as a suffix to your name everywhere - your business card, listing on your company website, in your email signature. The DMCP suffix and logo will appear by your name in your listing on the Find a DMC on this ADMEI website.
Your certification is good for five (5) years. You will be notified approximately 6 months prior to 31 July of the year your recertification application is due. Detailed information about recertifcation is here.
